Creative Canning

Add burlap details to trendy canning jar vases.

 

Materials:

• 1 Lavender daisy
• 1 Lavender alstroemeria
• 2 Green carnations
• 2 ‘Cool Water’ roses
• 1 Blue hydreangea
• 3 Green hypericum
• 2 Ruscus
• Burlap ribbon
• Decorative aluminum wire
• Canning jar
• Glue gun
• Scissors and stem cutters

 

1.  Bend a piece of aluminum wire into a leaf shapes, and twist the wire at the base.

 

2.  Spray one side of the leaf-shaped wire with a thick coating of spray adhesive.

 

3. Firmly press the wire onto a piece of burlap cloth, and allow the glue to adhere.

 

4. Trim the excess burlap by cutting closely to the edge of the leaf-shaped wires.

 

5. Use the remaining wire to wrap around the neck of the canning jar vase.

 

6. Fill the jar with a solution of water and flower food. Arrange flowers.
